Having salivated over posts on Instagram since it opened mid last year, I was very excited when my colleagues agreed to have our team Christmas lunch at The Emporium on Philip Street in Parramatta.
Rustic looking it boasts three seperate dining areas. We sat in an alfresco space. With exposed brick, marble tables, vases full of lilies and plenty of natural light it was the perfect place to unwind.
Being a large group we had the Thyme set menu which included an array of entrees to share, not all pictured, a choice of main and sides to share.
Beautifully presented the food looked and tasted amazing, the only downside was being pregnant there were a couple dishes I couldn't try. My favourites were the lamb belly on hommus and the tempura zucchini flowers.
For main I choose the Petuna ocean trout with a fennel, radish, apple and raspberry salad. This dish didn't disappoint, the salad so fresh and crisp worked well with the trout, the raspberries were a great addition.
Full by this stage, dessert was missed, however will be made up when I return in the near future!
